As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained 3 persons on the fact of selling particularly large amount of excisable goods subject to marking without excise marks, as a group.

Investigation determined, that the accused persons, in exchange of certain amount of money, sold 25 000 boxes of non-excised tobacco products subject or mandatory marking, worth GEL 110 000.

Investigation is underway under the second part, paragraph “c” and third part of Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 8 years.
