Russian troops kill 220 children in Ukraine since invasion

220 children have been killed since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported, referring to data from juvenile prosecutors.

“More than 626 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official data, 220 children were killed and more than 406 were injured.

These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish the number of casualties in areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

According to the data received by juvenile prosecutors, most children were affected in Donetsk region – 139, Kyiv region – 115, Kharkiv region – 95, Chernihiv region – 68, Kherson region – 45, Mykolaiv region – 43, Luhansk region – 37, Zaporizhzhia region – 27, Sumy region – 17, Zhytomyr region – 15, and Kyiv city – 16”.
