German-based Condor airlines started operating regular flights to Tbilisi International Airport starting May 1.

According to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, the airline would perform Frankfurt-Tbilisi-Frankfurt flights twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, until October 28.

Offering transit flights to around 90 destinations in Europe, Africa and North America, Condor Airlines was granted a permit to operate in Georgia on April 20 by the country’s Civil Aviation Agency.

“Condor is widely represented in the North American air market. Thus, Georgian passengers will be able to fly to the United States via Condor”, - said Vako Chilashvili, business development manager of United Airports of Georgia.
