Strikes on Lviv testify that no part of Ukraine is insured against attack of the Kremlin - Borrel

The European Union condemns the rocket fire of Russian troops on Ukraine. This was emphasized by the Vice President of the European Commission, Head of the Foreign Policy Service of the European Union Josep Borrell in his statement, Radio Svoboda reports.

“Ukraine is undergoing the most intense missile strikes by the Russian Federation in the last few weeks. The EU condemns the indiscriminate and illegal shelling of civilians and civilian infrastructure by the Russian armed forces. These are particularly strong blows in recent days in eastern and southern Ukraine, especially in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, in Severodonetsk, Lysychansk and Popasna. Large cities, including Kharkiv, continue to be subjected to indiscriminate attacks, leading to further destruction of civilian lives and destruction of infrastructure. Attacks on Lviv and other cities in western Ukraine show that no part of the country is safe from a senseless attack by the Kremlin”, - Borrel said.

He also stressed: “The EU actively supports the work of the International Criminal Court and measures to ensure accountability for violations of human rights and international humanitarian law. There can be no impunity for war crimes”.
