Georgia received USD 394 million from international tourism in January-March 2022, an increase of about USD 340 million compared to 2021 and a 68.1% recovery compared to 2019, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said.
“In March, international travellers spent about USD 174 million, showing a 71.3% recovery compared to 2019, and an increase of about USD 145 million compared to March 2021.
A total of 211,484 international travellers visited the country in March, marking a 34.1 percent recovery compared to 2019”, - reads the statement.
Georgian airports have served 700,200 passengers in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 565% compared to the same period of last year, and a 69% recovery compared to the same period of 2019, the Civil Aviation Agency revealed last week.
