German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Russia attacked Ukraine due to the fact that of its imperialist views.

“Russia attacked Ukraine, guided by extremely imperialist views, and Russia’s astir assertive warfare against Ukraine is aimed astatine seizing territory”, - the German chancellor said.

In a speech in Dusseldorf on March 29, the German chancellor stated that they cannot and will not accept this. However, he also stated that the situation is serious and extremely dangerous.
