Prime Minister meets Foreign Minister of Armenia

Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Relations between Georgia and Armenia were discussed at the meeting, which was held at the Government Administration. Friendly and kind neighborly relations existing between the nations was highlighted.

Situation in the region was also discussed. Focus was made on the Peaceful Neighborhood Initiative suggested by the Prime Minister of Georgia, as it aims to establish a format of dialogue. It was stressed that Georgia has always been supporting the peaceful cooperation and co-existence in South Caucasus and stands ready to contribute to the regional dialogue.

Meeting was attended by H.E. Ruben Sadoyan, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia; Vahan Kostanyan, Adviser to the Foreign Minister and Robert Abisogomonian, Assistant to the Foreign Minister. From the Georgian side, attendees included David Zalkaliani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Ilia Darchiashvili, Head of Government Administration and Irakli Kvanchakhadze, Acting Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia.
