It is snowing in the city for the sixth day - we are doing our best to keep the central streets clean so that public transport can move without any interruptions. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“It is the sixth day that it’s snowing in the city. Relevant services have switched to 24-hour regime. All are mobilized as much as possible, cleaning works are underway.

Tbilservice Group, the board and our contractor companies are working 24 hours a day for the sixth day. Streets are being cleaned, technical salt is being used. More than 5,000 tons of technical salt were used.

Some problems have arisen in terms of the movement of public transport. There were delays, however we tried our best to clear the central roads. Secondary streets, dead ends, turns are left. Work is underway here as well, but we are facing problems. These are cars that are parked on the street, due to which the equipment can’t enter and can’t perform the work. These are some of the problems. I understand the people whose streets, dead ends, turns we have not yet reached. Friends, there are about 750 streets, turns and dead ends - Tskneti, Tabakhmela, Kiketi ... All are mobilized and works are underway.

If there is support of population, we will be grateful. I think it shouldn’t be a problem for a person to clean the road in front of his/her own house. It will be a great help for us and I would like to thank all the citizens who are involved in the cleaning of a specific space”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
