The officers of Marneuli Police Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 4 drug dealers in Marneuli as a result of operative-search and investigative activities. The detainees are: R.Ch. (DoB 1964) and formerly convicted J.N. (DoB 1957) as well as G.N. (DoB 1995) and A.B. (DoB 1977).

The investigation established that detainees illegally sold drugs on the regular basis.

The committed crime envisions from 20 years or life imprisonment.

The law enforcers, on the basis of the Court ruling, carried out several control purchases of drugs from the accused persons and made secret audio-video recording of the process.

Police seized drugs illegally sold by the detainees as evidence.

As a result of the personal search of the detainees, drugs containing heroin, codeine and morphine were also seized.

Investigation is underway under Article 260, I, III, IV, V and VI parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates illegal purchase, storage and sale of drugs in especially large quantities.
