Mikheil Saakashvili is ending his hunger strike. According to the former president, common sense, health and full mobilization are needed now, strength instead of weakness.

“For me the way to the peaceful return of Sokhumi passes through Kyiv, the liberation and prosperity of Georgia passes through Kyiv. Now we should not to weaken, but get stronger. This applies to me too.

I received a letter from the Georgian fighters who have been defending Ukraine since 2014, of whom I am very proud and I call them my friends. They ask me to stop the hunger strike and to join the fight as soon as possible with full force. The same request comes from the representatives of Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, with whom I am in constant contact. Therefore, on the 20th day, I am ending the hunger strike”, - writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
