Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani had a telephone conversation with US Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

During a telephone conversation the officials discussed regional security issues, as well as the situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.

Zalkaliani thanked Shaheen for advocating “all priority topics for Georgia”, highlighting the importance of support from the US Senate.

The sides also discussed the prospects to reinforce the strategic partnership between Georgia and the US, reaffirmed support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity the Georgian MFA said.
