Today is a day of shame in the Parliament of Georgia. Suh a statement made today MP Khatia Dekanoidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement.

“Today is a day of shame in the history of Georgia and not only in parliamentary life. When Russian subversive groups are attacking the defense forces in Kyiv at the moment, ruling party has collected the signatures of the majority MPs in a completely shameful decision and decided, in violation of the Georgian Constitution, not to hold a parliamentary session convened by the President.

The shameful Chairman of Shalva Papuashvili, whose name will not go down in history, decided to go against the Constitution and close the hall of the Parliament - to close it to the citizens of Georgia, to Ukraine, to the heroes who fell yesterday and today.

Today we should have performed the anthems of Georgia and Ukraine and told the world that we are also occupied, that aggression is going on in Ukraine”, - said Khatia Dekanoidze.
