As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, brought to the criminal liability three persons on the fact of misappropriation of particularly large amount of state funds by manufacturing-using of forged tax document.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, in order to receive illegal material benefits and create counterfeit VAT assets, between the companies registered under their name, issued forged tax invoices having value of GEL 215 000, on the provision of musical technique, thus illegally misappropriated VAT surplus GEL 32 796.

As a result of effective investigative activities, damage is fully reimbursed in favor of the state budget.

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 210 and the third part of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
