The first ever FWQ events for Georgia - Freeride Week to be held at Tetnuldi Resort

For the first time in Georgia, at the Tetnuldi resort, within the framework of “Freeride” week, the qualifying stages (FWQ) of the Freeride World Tour will be held on February 8-12.

“This will be the first ever FWQ events for Georgia. Mestia municipality is the center of historical mountainous Svaneti region, where several major peaks of the Caucasus are located.

The competitions will be held in front of mighty Tetnuldi mountain (4852 masl) while on the opposite side the visitors will enjoy the sight of splendid Ushba twin peaks (4710 masl), the region is also home of Georgia’s highest peak mount Shkhara (5201 masl).

Svaneti itself is famous for its hospitality, cousine, local unique language and culture. The freeride week will include two competitions, minor –2 star and major –4 star freeride events in ski and snowboard disciplines
