Parliament and City Council by-elections to be held on April 2

Parliament and City Council by-elections will be held on April 2. Relevant decrees were adopted by the Central Election Commission.

On April 2, the voters will elect a majoritarian of the Parliament in Rustavi. A majoritarian will be elected in Batumi the City Council too.

117 polling stations will be opened in Rustavi and Gardabani for the by-elections. 14 polling stations will work in Batumi.

By-elections are held to fill in positions that became vacant in the Parliament and the Batumi City Council. Nino Latsabidze left the legislature after she was elected mayor of Rustavi. Jemal Putkaradze, a majoritarian member of the Batumi City Council, passed away.
