Flights cancelled at Schiphol airport today due to Storm Corrie that has disrupted transportation networks across the Netherlands. It is reported that over 260 flights have been cancelled in arrivals and departures, starting with precautionary measures on Sunday evening.
Due to the ongoing high winds that hit the Dutch coast on 31st January, rail networks have also limited service at this time. The strong winds have created multiple incidents on the roads resulting in closure of some of the highways.
Strong winds are also impacting the operation of bridges and viaducts and high rain fall is also expected later today.
Elsewhere in Europe, Storm Corrie has left its mark with power failures also reported in Aberdeenshire, UK.
