Two citizens of Georgia were illegally detained in the vicinity of the village of Gremiskhevi, Dusheti municipality.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, the hotline has been activated instantly, and the Co-chairs of Geneva International Discussions have been provided with the corresponding information.

“The Government of Georgia is employing all methods available to release the unlawfully detained citizens. The harmful practice of illegal detentions worsens the existing situation and endangers stability in the region”, - reads the statement of the SSSG.

The agency added that Russian occupation forces are fully responsible for the destructive actions in the occupied regions and along the occupation line.
