The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities, in connection with the attempted premeditated murder in Gardabani Municipality, detained three persons – F.A. (DoB 1995), E.M. (DoB 1998) and K.O. (DoB 2001).

F.A. and K.O. are charged with unlawful acquisition, possession, carrying of a firearm and attempted premeditated murder committed in group under aggravating circumstances, while E.M. was arrested for attempted premeditated murder committed in group under aggravating circumstances.

The investigation established that the detainees had a dispute with an acquaintance- R.Z., (DoB 1984) in the village of Karataklia, Gardabani Municipality, due to the conflict which existed between the parties in past, after which one of the accused- F.A. who was in a car along with E.A. and K.O. fired multiple shots in the direction of R.Z’s car with an automatic firearm, inflicted life-threatening wounds to the victim and fled the scene with his accomplices. Wounded R.Z. has been placed in a medical facility.

Police arrested the accused persons the next day as a result of operative-investigative activities.

Investigation is in progress under Article 236, III and IV parts and article 19-109, part I, sub-paragraph “B” and part II of the same article under the Criminal Code of Georgia, on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder committed in group under aggravating circumstances and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying a firearm.
