The Administration of President issued a statement on the initiative of Salome Zourabichvili, regarding the national reconciliation process.

“The process of national reconciliation initiated by the President is a difficult and complex process, which is open and transparent and in no way secretive.

At the beginning of the national reconciliation process, the President listens to everyone, holds meetings, and shows interest in the views. This is a part of an overall national reconciliation process.

Not only political parties but also the public, including representatives of NGOs working on victims’ issues, are involved in this process.

The President of Georgia has already held meetings with the Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II, the 4th President Giorgi Margvelashvili, representatives of political parties. The process is ongoing”, - reads the statement.
