The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative and search activities, detained G.L. (DoB1985) for premeditated murder and unlawful purchase-possession and carrying of a firearm.

The committed crime envisions from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on November 23 of the current year, in the evening hours, D.M. (DoB 1988) who was under the influence of alcohol and G.L. were on the street near their residential building in Tbilisi together with other friends.

D.M. and G.L. verbally confronted each other, during which G.L. inflicted several gunshot wounds in chest area to D.M.

The wounded man died shortly after being transferred to the hospital, while G.L. fled the crime scene.

Police, as a result of immediate operative and search activities arrested G.L. in Sagarejo.

Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime as evidence.

Investigation is underway on the facts of premeditated murder and illegal purchase-storage and carrying of firearm, crimes envisioned under Article 108 and 236, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
