The Minister of Internal Affairs visited the First and Third Divisions of the Special Tasks Department. Vakhtang Gomelauri attended the festive service held at the St. George Cathedral located on the territory of the division and congratulated the staff on St. George’s Day.

After the service, the Minister got acquainted with the situation at the base of the First Division and received detailed information regarding the existing needs. The MIA along with Deputies, toured the entire infrastructure of the base and got familiarized with the details of the ongoing restoration works in the buffet.

Vakhtang Gomelauri also visited the Third Division of the Special Tasks Department, where he visited the newly constructed staff barracks in the base area, the repair work of which has already been completed.

In the nearest future, the employees will be living in a building constructed in line with contemporary standards, equipped with the necessary inventory and equipment. Vakhtang Gomelauri also inspected the gym at the base, which was equipped in full compliance of European standards with the latest sports equipment, exercise machines and showers.
