According to the Global Law and Order Index, Georgia, along with Germany, Sweden and other countries, is in the top-20 among other countries of the world

The American organization “Gallup” - the Analytical Center for Global Surveys has published the 2021 Law and Order Index. According to the index, Georgia scored 88 points on a 100-point rating system and, along with Germany, Sweden and Malta, ranked 17th among top 20 states.

The index is based on a global survey that assesses people’s personal safety and their own experience with crime and law enforcement.

Survey respondents answered questions regarding the trust towards police, overnight safety, theft, assault or robbery cases experienced by them throughout the current year.

The 2021 Global Law and Order Report presents the results of the latest Gallup survey, based on interviews from more than 120,000 adult citizens. The survey was conducted in 115 countries and regions. The study also contains data from fieldwork conducted in 51 countries.

Gallup is one of up to 30 internationally recognized entities on which the World Bank"s Global Governance Indicators are based. According to the World Bank Global Governance Indicators Report released in October 2021, Gallup ranked Georgia among top 15 countries of Europe in terms of freedom from corruption. Based on the global survey - “Is there corruption in the government” - Georgia ranked 14th in Europe.
