Pre-trial detention has been ordered for the son of Mikheil Dautashvili, the majoritarian candidate of the Georgian Dream, for wounding the supporters of the United National Movement in Dmanisi.

According to the agency, during the verbal and physical confrontation that took place at the pre-election meeting, the accused used a knife to inflict injuries on the face of the supporters of the UNM.

Dautashvili and his lawyer Gia Machitadze attended the trial remotely. According to Machitadze, the court did not take into account the position of the defense that there was no evidence in the case to apply the measure of restraint.
