Rustavi mayoral candidate from the United National Movement David Kirkitadze, alleges that his party member Ivane Gvelesiani was physically assaulted in Rustavi.

According to Kirtitadze, Gvelesiani has injuries in his face and is undergoing medical treatment at the Rustavi Clinic.

“This fact is a political vengeance. The Georgian Dream began Ivane Gvelesiani’s intimidation after he had refused to collect and secure votes in favour of the ruling party”, - added David Kirkitadze.

Georgian Dream’s Rustavi mayoral hopeful Nino Latsabidze denied the accusation as “absurd.”
