The US defence department is preparing to mandate COVID vaccination for all service members, the Pentagon said.

John Kirby, Pentagon spokesperson, said the defence department was “preparing actionable guidance” for US forces for making the vaccine mandatory, and that it would be issued in coming days.

To date, 800,000 of the more than two million military personnel have been vaccinated.
