Why do we make this decision at the expense of people"s right to life? – Nino Lomjaria

The issue of postponing the elections is not purely political, it is more an epidemiological. Such a statement made today the Public Defender of Georgia.

“Epidemiologists say that the healthcare sector is overcrowded. Not only receiving patients, but also providing emergency medical care is often difficult and delayed. The number of infected people has increased since last year"s elections, and epidemiologists also acknowledge that elections are a factor in increasing the number of infected people.

When the healthcare sector is so overcrowded today that we are talking about field hospitals and student involvement because we lack human resources, the question naturally arises - if we all acknowledge that elections increase mobility and the number of infected, then it is unclear what the state plans in this month. The number of infected will increase more. Why do we make this decision at the expense of people"s right to life?”, - said Nino Lomjaria.
