State Inspector charges Ninotsminda Boarding School for releasing audio-video recordings of minors

The State Inspector’s Office has imposed administrative liability on the Ninotsminda nursinf house for making public minor’s audio-video recordings in violation of the law.

“We studied the legality of publishing these audio-video recordings on Facebook.

According to the study, on June 4, 2021, the head of the boarding house started a “live” on his personal Facebook page and aired several audio-video recordings showing the minor beneficiaries. The records fully enabled the identification of teens.

Various information about minors was publicly available in the records: name, surname, visual image, voice, psycho-emotional state, the names of their close relatives and telephone numbers, etc.

The boarding school was fined on the basis of the first paragraphs of Articles 44 and 53 of the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection for non-proportionate disclosure of juvenile data and non-compliance with the requirements of the State Inspector’s Service”, - reads the statement.
