Lasha Bekauri reached the final of the Tokyo Olympic Games.

In the semifinal, the Georgian Judoka defeated the representative of Russia Mikhail Igolnikov.

On his road to the final, Lasha Bekauri defeated Piotr Kuczera (Poland), Li Kochman (Israel), Davlat Bobonov (Uzbekistan).
