Parliament adopts resolution based on conclusion of Temporary Fact-Finding Commission on the Parliamentary Elections of October 21.

“The Fact-Finding Commission has concluded that the Parliamentary Elections of October 21, 2020, have been held in full compliance with the legislation and the minor gaps revealed had not an impact on the final returns of the Elections”, - the Chair of the Commission Givi Mikanadze.

He informed the society about the activity of the Commission noting that for 2,5 months they held 16 working meetings, questioned 38 persons and inquired information from 22 various agencies.

“The Commission has resolved that the Parliamentary Elections have been held in a competitive environment, in full adherence to the fundamental freedoms and legislation. At that, some gaps have been revealed during the E-Day without a single impact on the final returns. Hence, the final protocol of the Central Election Commission expresses the free will of the electors”, - added Mikanadze.

The Fact-Finding Commission, composed of Givi Mikanadze, Aluda Gudushauri, Pridon Injia and David Zilpimiani, has issued the respective recommendations and developed the draft Resolution.
