GEL 1.5 million debt to be written off for 24 radio companies in Georgia. Such a statement made today the Minister of Econom.

“Following the request of 24 radio companies operating in Georgia, the government has decided to write off accumulated debt worth GEL 1.5 million for the radio companies by the end of 2021.

Revenues of radio companies had decreased dramatically due to the lack of advertisements during the pandemic.

The main source of income for radio companies is advertising. Economic activity was hampered in 2020, and of course, their revenues either stopped or decreased. That’s why we decided to write off the debt they face”, - added Natia Turnava.
