Employee of Tbilisi City Hall is detained – the State Security Service

Officers of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service detained a senior specialist of Isani-Samgori District Department of Municipal Inspection on the fact of taking a bribe.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, the investigation established that the person in exchange for protection from illegal construction in an African settlement and exemption from administrative penalties provided by law, demanded GEL 2,500 as a bribe through a mediator.

An investigation is underway into the bribery.
