The Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an investigation into allegations made by Ivane Gulashvili, former employee of the State Security Service, about former Deputy Interior Minister Kakha Sabanadze.

The information about possible illegal actions spread through the media.

According to the Prosecutor’s office, based on the spread information, an investigation launched on the facts of a possible violation of the secrets of private communication and potential abuse of official authority by certain public officials, using their position on March 22, 2021.

“The investigation was launched under Articles 158 and 333 of the Criminal Code of Georgia”, - says General Prosecutor’s Office.
