These people don’t care about the EU, President of the Council of Europe, their reputation or Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations in general. Such a statement made Zurab Japaridze after the meeting between the opposition and the ruling team.

“You all saw the condition of this man when he left and I do not want any one to think that the opposition has anything to do with that condition of this person. The emotions of this person, as well as his decision to leave, are the responsibility of the Georgian Dream and their behavior.

The negotiation process has not even come close to a point where the views and positions of the opposition would be seriously considered. The negotiators have not been able to come up with any document that the ruling party would agree to - their complaints were endless and in the end, this is what happened and how it ended.

I do not believe that these people, the Georgian Dream, do not understand what it means to receive so much attention from the West, do not understand what it means that the President of the European Council was involved in the process and he took this responsibility, and risked his own reputation and the EU’s reputation.

So the only explanation of what we saw today is that these people don’t care about the EU, President of the Council of Europe, their reputation or Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations in general - this is the only logical explanation for all this”, - said Zurab Japaridze.
