The audio recordings aired by Pirveli TV are totally inadmissible and unacceptable provocation. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“As you know, I headed Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Charity Foundation for 8 years. We have managed numerous charity projects in Georgia. We had 200-300 million projects during the year, USD 3 billion has been spent by Bidzina [Ivanishvili] through these funds.

Naturally, I had to communicate directly with Government agencies, including ministers. I had several meetings with the then Minister of Culture, late Nika Rurua, [Sandro] Kvitashvili, who was the Minister of Health. We also had a meeting with the Minister of Education, as well as the Mayor of Tbilisi, the Minister of Economy.

I want to say that we had talks with President [Mikheil] Saakashvili’s wife, Sandra, on several projects, and we had to listen to their requests. The president’s mother, Giuli Alasania, was a frequent visitor us at Kartu Fund.

Therefore, the answer is simple. I had direct communication with the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, and of course, there is no logic here as to why this issue should have been understood differently”, - explained Irakli Garibashvili.
