People with various social problems hold a protest rally in front of the Adjara Government building in Batumi.

Demonstrators have been asking for a meeting with the Head of the Adjara Government, Tornike Rizhvadze.

Locals affected by the construction of highways or hydropower plants and mortgage loan sufferers have gathered to demand compensation. Residents of the so-called Cardon Town joined the protest and required individual housing contracts.

Protesters tried to block a central Rustaveli Street, but police stopped them.
