The markets will open up from February 8 – Giorgi Gakharia

The Georgian government has announced the lifting of several coronavirus-related restrictions due to the decrease in daily infections.


According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, all public transport around the country will resume operations starting February 8, as well as open markets.

“On Monday, February 8, municipal transport will resume throughout Georgia, which means that it will resume in Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Kutaisi as well, including subway, buses, and routed taxicabs. Also, on Monday, February 8, marketplaces will reopen in full, with restrictions remaining in force only on weekends”, - added Giorgi Gakharia.
