Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Customs Department under the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, as a result of jointly held operative and investigative activities detained Azerbaijani citizen – S.A. (DoB 1991) at the “Red Bridge” control zone.

Detainee is accused of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and smuggling on the territory of Georgia.

Committed crime envisages from 15 to 20 or lifetime imprisonment.

During the personal search of the detainee, law enforcement officers seized as evidence two packages of “Methadone” drug, weighing 119,21 gr.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and smuggling on the territory of Georgia, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” and article 262, IV part, sub-paragraph “A” envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
