14 192 tests have been conducted throughout the country in the last 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, 1 738 new infection cases have been confirmed, said Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council.


“14 192 tests have been conducted throughout the country under the intensive testing program in the past 24 hours, including 7 074 antigen and 7 118 PCR tests.


Consequently, we have 1 738 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 225 893 confirmed cases.


We have 1 494 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 210 445.


Unfortunately, 38 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since the outset of the pandemic, we have had a total of 2481 fatalities.


Of the 1 738 cases identified today, 743 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 115 in Adjara, 301 in Imereti, 123 in Kvemo Kartli, 100 in Shida Kartli, 46 in Guria, 138 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 107 in Kakheti, 32 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 25 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 8 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
