4 769 tests have been conducted throughout the country in the last 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, 538 new infection cases have been confirmed, said Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council.

“4 769 tests have been conducted throughout the country under the intensive testing program in the past 24 hours, including 1 955 antigen and 2 814 PCR tests.

Consequently, we have 538 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 222 143 confirmed cases.

We have 2 766 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 206 313.

Unfortunately, 41 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since the outset of the pandemic, we have had a total of 2 418 fatalities.

Of the 538 cases identified today, 257 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 68 in Adjara, 55 in Imereti, 29 in Kvemo Kartli, 16 in Shida Kartli, 14 in Guria, 34 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 36 in Kakheti, 19 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 8 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 2 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
