According to the National Environment Agency, heavy precipitation is expected throughout Georgia, snow is forecasted in eastern regions of the country on December 23-24. Dense fog, snowstorms, and ice on the roads are in the weather forecast in mountainous areas, while a 2-3 magnitude storm will hit the seashore.

It is possible that the expected heavy rains will cause the formation of avalanches in the mountainous areas and the emergence of landslide processes.
