Merab Ninidze nominated for British Independent Film Awards

Merab Ninidze has been nominated in the British Independent Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor in the film “The Courier”. Ninidze acts in the film with Benedict Cumberbatch.

The movie tells the true story of British businessman Greville Wynee (Cumberbatch), who was recruited into one of the greatest international conflicts in history. At the behest of the UK’s MI6, Wynne forms dangerous partnership with Soviet officer Oleg Penkovsky (Ninidze) in an effort to provide crucial intelligence needed to prevent a nuclear confrontation and defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis.
