The officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities, detained previously convicted and currently on probation – G.L. (DoB 1998) in Batumi for armed robbery.

Committed crime envisages from 5 to 7 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee, under the pressure of the knife, illegally appropriated cash in the amount of 340 GEL from the drug store pharmacist on Fridon Khalvashi Avenue, Batumi and fled by car from the place of crime.

G.L. was detained by the law enforcers as a result of immediate police activities.
The weapon of crime – knife and sum appropriated from the drug store were seized by police as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, crime envisaged under the article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
