The officers of Gldani - Nadzaladevi police division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities, detained previously convicted A.G. (DoB 1976) for non-compliance to the requirements and obligations defined by the restraining order as well as for the attempted premeditated murder, committed against family member.

Committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee visited his former spouse – T.P. (DoB 1983) at supermarket, where she was employed, by which violated the restraining order issued against him by law enforcers and wounded his former spouse with a utility knife in throat area. As a result of the incident, T.P. was transferred to the hospital. Her live is no longer in danger. Police detained the offender at the place of crime.

The weapon of crime, utility knife was seized by policemen as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of non-compliance to the requirements and obligations defined by the restraining order as well as for the attempted premeditated murder committed against family member, article 111 381 I part and article 111 19-109, II pat, sub-paragraph “F” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
