7,812 persons are recovering at home - Alexandre Khojevanishvili

3,157 new cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, Alexandre Khojevanishvili, Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today’s briefing at the Administration of the Government.


“Presently, the country has had 82,835 confirmed cases. Over the past 2 days, recoveries outnumber new confirmed cases, with 3,230 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 65,291.


Unfortunately, 30 people have died in the past 24 hours, including 15 in Tbilisi, 5 in Adjara, 7 in Imereti, 2 in Shida Kartli, and 1 in Kvemo Kartli. Since February 26, 2020, we have had a total of 733 fatalities.


Of the 3,157 cases identified today, 1,249 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 516 in Adjara, 477 in Imereti, 178 in Kvemo Kartli, 181 in Shida Kartli, 82 in Guria, 212 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 70 in Kakheti, 121 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 60 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 11 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.


Presently, we have 16,785 active infection cases. 5,658 persons are treated in hospitals, including 2,652 in Tbilisi, 930 in Adjara, and 1,143 in Imereti. We have 787 severe cases, including 375 in Tbilisi, 135 in Adjara, and 173 in Imereti, of whom 363 are on a ventilator, including 170 in Tbilisi, 110 in Adjara, and 27 in Imereti. 3,315 persons are at COVID hotels, including 1,565 in Adjara and 1,248 in Tbilisi, also 229 in Imereti. 7,812 persons are recovering at home.


We have 2,735 persons in quarantine zones, including 425 in Tbilisi, 1,540 in Adjara, and 32 in Imereti.


Since October 6 through November 15, a total of 15,501 persons have been transported into the country.

Presently, 50,256 persons are self-isolating, including 12,867 in Tbilisi, 17,779 in Adjara, and 5,230 in Imereti”, - said Alexandre Khojevanishvili.
