There is a political crisis in the country that needs to be defused. Such a statement made the leader of Girchi, after the meeting held between the opposition leaders and the majority at the US ambassador’s residence.

“The parties exchanged their visions of how we evaluate the recent elections and our position was what we have repeatedly stated and there was also the position of the Government representatives - how they evaluate the elections. We agreed that another meeting will take place, the time and place of which we do not yet know.

The desire of our facilitators, as well as the opinion of all of us, and the atmosphere is such that we all believe that there is a political crisis in the country that needs to be defused and some kind of political agreement needs to be achieved”, - said Zurab Japaridze.
