The information that the common courts did not satisfy 99% of the lawsuits relating to the revision of the results of elections is not true - the High Council of Justice

The information that the common courts did not satisfy 99% of the lawsuits relating to the revision of the results of elections is not true. Such a statement released the High Council of Justice.

“We want to respond to the statements of some politicians that the common courts did not satisfy 99% of the lawsuits relating to the revision of the election results. We offer statistics that make it clear that these statements are false. Namely:

In total, 96 lawsuits have been filed with the common courts of Georgia. Of these, 60 lawsuits sought annulment or recount of voting results in various polling stations. By satisfying more than 16% of the lawsuits requesting the recount of the results, 17 polling stations were subjected to recount, while the voting results of 1 polling station were annulled.

Other lawsuits (more than 37% of the total number of lawsuits) concerned the legality of leaving the complaints filed by unauthorized entities without consideration by the District Election Commission. Thus, the possibility of their consideration by the court was excluded”, - reads statement of the High Council of Justice.

One of the leaders of the European Georgia opposition party, Sergi Kapanadze, said yesterday that the court rejected most of their election lawsuits and the opposition have no legal ways to prove their allegations that the election results were falsified.
