At the meeting with OSCE/ODIHR we discussed the issues related to the second round. Such a statement made the Chairperson of the Parliament after the meeting with the representatives of the organization.

“We discussed the issues related to the second round, as well as the data that already exist regarding the recount of 39 precincts, where the CEC, in full compliance with the law, with the involvement of the opposition and observers, recounted mainly those precincts where there were question marks regarding alleged shortcomings.

We must emphasize yesterday’s statement of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, where they reiterated that the parliamentary elections in Georgia were held in a competitive environment, with respect for fundamental rights. The OSCE PA also welcomed the inclusive process by the CEC in the process of recounting these precincts… Now we are preparing for the second round, we are also preparing for the work of the new parliament, which will be even more pluralistic”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
