The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi police division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities, detained Z.M. (DoB 1983) and I.N. (DoB 1978) for the attempted murder under aggravating circumstances as well as for illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearm.

It was established that Z.M. along with his accomplice – I.N. made several shots from the firearm to the direction of his relative, I.M. (DoB 1984) and his friend – V.A. (DoB 1985) for the disagreement over a piece of land. The incident took place on Sheshelidze highway, Gldani district, Tbilisi. As a result of the shooting the vehicle owned by I.M. was damaged, however, no one was hurt.

Detainees fled from the place of crime, but were detained several hours later in Tbilisi.

Law enforcers seized the weapon of crime from Z.M’s vehicle as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted murder under aggravating circumstances as well as for illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearm, article 19-109, III part, sub-paragraph “A” and article 236, III and IV parts envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
