The risk of coronavirus has increased, however, we have taken all important measures. Such a statement made the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, Health and Social Affairs Ekaterine Tikaradze.
According to her, Georgia has not confirmed the cases of coronavirus. However, the patients experiencing likely symptoms of the virus are being observed.
“All agencies work together. The risk of danger is certainly high. Nevertheless, we have taken all measures that significantly reduce the risk of the threat. We have already introduced regulations that were needed for the time being. If it is necessary to tighten border control further, we are ready do to so. Herein, no further regulations are planned with respect to Italy”, - said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
She also talked about the shortage of medical masks: “This deficit has been created worldwide and of course Georgia is not an exception in this case. But, we are making efforts the suppliers to additionally import masks for an adequate price”.
