The efforts of the opposition to make Georgia a backward country are anti-state - David Songhulashvili

David Songhulashvili, the chairman of the Parliament’s European Integration Committee, comments on the failure of the final resolution on EU-Georgia Association Parliamentary Committee.

“It is very unfortunate that the final resolution was not supported. The EU-Georgia Association Parliamentary Committee considers both successes and challenges facing the country.

One thing that is principled and important and what the opposition is very happy about - the failure of today’s resolution, it is not the failure of any party, it is the failure of the country.

The efforts of the opposition to make Georgia a backward country are anti-state.

One of the important questions was regarding the detention of Gigi Ugulava, in connection and the ruling party offered the European Parliament to send fact-finding mission to Georgia. The MEPs are ready to arrive here within the frameworks of this mission that we have proposed and all questions will be answered”, - concluded David Songhulashvili.
